These adorable T-shirts and Caps have been designed by Didi Fisher Weinreb for the exclusive benefit of the ESSCO-MGH Breast Cancer Research Fund!

As you may know, my father established the ESSCO-MGH Breast Cancer Research Fund shortly after my sister, Lynn, had been diagnosed and treated for the disease at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, MA.  One hundred percent of every penny we raise goes directly to promising breast cancer research at the MGH.  Thanks to Didi, our fund will be getting a nice boost!

Didi is an avid Tennis Player, USPTA Certified Teaching Professional,  The River’s School Girls Varsity Tennis Coach and Tennis Director at Wayland Swim and Tennis Club.   Didi played junior tennis in South Florida and continues to compete nationally as an adult.  Didi is presently going through treatment and wanted a way to give back.  She is donating all proceeds from the sale of these funky T’s and Caps to our fund so we can cure breast cancer!  $20/T-shirt, $20/Cap.     Scoop ‘em up! So much to say and such a small space in which to say it! Where to start?  The ABC Show was a phenomenal success, hence the inability to get anything else done but process and ship, ship, ship.  Our new Black & White print was a HUGE hit!  Look for it everywhere!  Once we finished processing the orders, I got straight to work on the leads and orders generated from our Orlando conference we simultaneously attended!  Following that, I put my creative hat on and developed some unbelievably cool designs for the ABC Spring Conference, which I’m delighted to say we have been invited to attend for a second year in a row!  I’ve also been hard at work developing exclusive lines for one of our favorite retailers!  And, in between, I recorded essco-mgh-breast-cancer-psa-final-mix with 92.5 The River for our  upcoming, 14th Annual ESSCO-MGH Breast Cancer Research Fund benefit. Following the October 27th benefit, I’ll be back to work on our Wee BE Organic line!  And, back to tweeting on a more regular basis.  Here’s a look at our very popular Black & White Clean Shopper!

We love Susan Wornick!  Busiest woman in broadcast, and she still makes time to Emcee our  Breast Cancer benefit.  Last year, she helped bring in over $112,000 in one night!  All of which went to cutting-edge breast cancer research at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston!  This year, on Tuesday, October 27th she’ll be doing what only Susan Wornick can do:  entertaining us with her undeniable wit, and making it more fun than ever to cure breast cancer!  Stay tuned for more info as we draw closer to our 14th annual breast cancer  event!

Our annual fundraiser to benefit the ESSCO-MGH Breast Cancer Research Fund is scheduled for Thursday, October 23rd at the Pine Brook Country Club in Weston, MA. Today we received the following auction items: Two Club Seat/50-yard-line tickets to the Patriots/Jets November game and a football signed by Tom Brady! Plus, four tickets to see the Champion Celtics play at the Garden! These are amazing seats, 12 rows back from the floor and next to Jo Jo White! Bill Leisman always gives us Red Sox/Yankee tickets so I don’t mind announcing that we have those, too! The items are rolling in!  For more info or to buy a ticket to the event, call me or email me! In addition to keeping babies and toddlers safe from the germs found on shopping carts, Clean Shoppers are now benefiting breast cancer research.  Babe Ease, LLC, distributor of the Original Clean Shopper shopping cart cover is donating $1.00 from the sale of every wholesale and retail sale of their adorable pink gingham Clean Shoppers to breast cancer research.  The money will go directory to the ESSCO-MGH Breast Cancer Research Fund, a charitable endowment fund Babe Ease owner Missy Cohen-Fyffe’s family established in 1994.

“My father established the ESSCO-MGH Breast Cancer Research Fund in 1994 shortly after my sister was diagnosed and treated for the disease at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston,” said Cohen-Fyffe, who is also president of the fund.  “He initiated the fund with $25,000 with the stipulation that every penny we raise go directly to breast cancer research.  Today, our fund has grown to $3.2 million and we fund incredibly innovative research that is so promising it is now garnering funds and accolades from the National Institutes of Health and other very large charitable organizations.

In addition to receiving national recognition for its cutting-edge research endeavors, the ESSCO-MGH Breast Cancer Research Fund was recently honored as one of The One Hundred most influential cancer care and research organizations associated with the MGH.

“It was an amazing night.  We were honored to be part of such a talented and respected group of individuals and organizations,” said Cohen-Fyffe.

Babe Ease, LLC will present it’s fundraising check to the ESSCO-MGH Breast Cancer Research Fund during the fund’s annual benefit in October.  The event will be held on October 23, 2008 at the Pine Brook Country Club in Weston, MA.
