All Wee BE Organic baby products are made from SKAL certified 100% organic cotton and adhere to Global Organic Textile Standards (GOTS) and Fair Trade Practices.
Soft cotton, clean prints, ecologically friendly farming and production. These are the components that make up our Wee BE Organic line of soft and comfy baby products. From our 100% organically grown and milled cotton and our printing processes that adhere to GOT standards to our world-wide fair trading partners and our eco-friendly packaging, each of our Wee BE Organic baby products embodies our quest for a better earth.
In searching the planet for 100% organic cotton fabrics with prints that meet global organic standards, I learned that what passes for “organic” can often be misleading. While the fabric itself may be eco-friendly (such as Bamboo) or even organically grown the production process isn’t, and the print on the fabric often times is not. Many manufacturers simply don’t mention what constitutes the ecological portion of their products nor do they mention the dye content of their prints. Others note, “Sans decoration,” or “Sans design.” This means that although the cotton itself is organic, the printing process is the same conventional process used in every other print you see today. That’s not a bad thing it’s just not organic.
As you move around our baby products website, you’ll notice that not all Babe Ease products carry the Wee BE Organic label. To date, we have only been able to produce a small amount of our baby products in this luxuriously soft 100% organic cotton fabric. But Babe Ease prides itself on using only the safest, non-toxic dyes and printing processes regardless of the label we apply to our baby products. And we adhere strongly to fair trade practices regardless of the fiber content of our lines. Over the years, Babe Ease has earned a reputation for producing quality baby products that are both affordable and safe. We have taken great care to ensure that all of our Clean Shopper shopping cart covers, Clean Diner high chair covers, Clean Burper burp cloths, Clean Changer changing pads, Bibs, toys and books are lead free and utterly safe. And we take great pride in offering all of our quality products at affordable prices.
We also constantly strive to improve our lines. Soon, we hope that all of our baby safety products will be produced in a more ecologically friendly manner. We are trying to do our part to make this planet a better place for all of us. But doing so takes time and we have only begun to scratch the surface.
Our Wee BE Organic brand prides itself on taking this first big step. While prices for this line of organic baby products are more expensive than some of our other baby products, it is the result of producing products in an ecological manner that is unlike conventional production. Producing 100% organic cotton is labor intensive, but the rewards are astounding. As our Wee BE Organic line grows, we hope our costs will fall in line with more conventionally produced goods.
